Google OpenSocial Provides Social Application Code with APIs

The goal of Google OpenSocial is to make it possible for any social web site to use the APIs made available and host 3rd party social applications on those web sites. OpenSocial is currently being developed by Google along with web programmers from other companies. Some web sites already implementing OpenSocial include Hyves, imeem, LinkedIn, MySpace, Engage.com, and Friendster.

OpenSocial is built upon Google Gadget technology that allows you to build viral social applications without paying high server fees. The Google OpenSocial web site includes the complete OpenSocial API Documentation to get you started.
